Roger – Director

Established during a diverse career with Marconi and IBM Roger has long been a keen advocate of the benefits technology can bring to business, and so founded Syscomm to bring advanced technologies to help mid- market companies progress. The strategic importance of the use of appropriate technologies for business is as essential today, and where Roger continues to help Syscomm bring a consultative approach to communications and systems infrastructure solutions. Roger started life in Essex and has lived and worked in London, Manchester, Santa Clara and West Midlands where his family was raised and he lives today.

Chris – Director

As a technology enthusiast,  Chris joined Syscomm 2005 in a switch from a Degree in Economics. In the years since, he has been closely involved in the technical and commercial aspects of the company’s growth through many generations of IT and Networking. He believes that as the digital revolution continues unabated, Syscomm must continue to help our customers grow with innovative technology, embracing real-time, Cloud-enabled and App culture to drive Customer Engagement.

Chris consults with Syscomm’s customers to help them innovate quickly and drive real-time business benefits from the IoT, Mobility, SDN and Big Data whilst keeping their networks secure from the very real threats around Cybersecurity.

Blair – Network Architect

Blair is a talented Network Engineer, motivated to develop our Service Provider and Customer network infrastructure and virtualisation solutions.

Having been with Syscomm for more than 7 years, he oversees the technical and strategic development of our infrastructure. Blair is motivated by a desire to understand and embrace new technologies to ensure our network solutions move with the times. He seeks ways to enhance productivity through technology to extend new opportunities for our customers.

As an advocate of technology driving a digital world, Blair has a strong interest in emerging FTTx deployments, IPv6 and the disruptive developments in the Routing, Switching and Software Defined Networking space.

During his studies in BSc Computer Science, he undertook sponsored research into the effects of contention on real-time applications, and how fast network convergence is central to the design of a reliable, business class network.

Sam – Network Support Team Leader

Sam has been a member the Syscomm team nearly 11 years having completed his Computer Networking degree at Coventry University; where he also achieved his Cisco qualifications.

Sam is a valued and enthusiastic member of the team, and regularly goes the extra mile to help our customers. He’s a versatile all-rounder having gained an extensive range of hands-on experience in desktop support, Server, VoIP systems, Cloud-based technologies and delivering and maintaining LAN and WAN network infrastructure. He now sits at the head of our network support team, overseeing network operations and ensuring the availability of our customer systems.

When he’s away from the office, he’s a keen snowboarder and a regular visitor to the French Alpes.  Although not the best in the Syscomm team at squash, he does regularly participate in half marathons and is a big Wasps fan.
